This case is wrapped a little over half-way through the episode which leaves time to tackle the Hotchner story. As she arrives there is no response. She attempts to call his cell phone and it rings inside. I enjoyed the fact that the new case was abbreviated, but still felt complete. The whole angle about Hotcher never being able to see his son again was pretty intense. I can’t believe they went in that direction with it....

And the fact that it stands at a tidy 90 minutes will means it’s easily re-watchable. Most ofThe Last Vampireseems like padding in between each action scene. But does all that really matter in a movie calledBlood: The Last Vampire? But she is an adequate lead, doing what needs to be done. What must be noted is the beautiful cinematography here by Hang-Sang Poon (Fearless,Kung Fu Hustle). It gives a nice, strange contrast to the bloody violence happening on-screen....

I’m bummedThe Unitwas cut and surprised byHarper’s Islandlack of viewers. Shows that go OTTO on me usually lose me. I’d rather see compelling story up front and slowly let the characters demonstrate who they are over time. TheNCISspin-off calledNCIS: Los Angelesis right behindNCISon Tuesdays. CBS also moved their huge hit,The Mentalistto Thursday nights which is bad news for the other networks. The much anticipated Alex O’Loughlin drama3 Riverswill be airing on Sundays betweenAmazing RaceandCold Case....

Smallville Due to technical difficulties beyond my control, the digital dog ate my homework. Or, I had to write this article twice! The digital dog just sounds more light-hearted than what the second line implies. Enough about my woes with technological gremlins. Well, at least I think it is! Shall we get on with it? Random was not what they were. The murders were actually coordinated strikes gauging the law enforcement response tactics. Perfectly calculated tests while the un-subs watched. In the meantime, Derek has a possible promotion available to him and Jennifer Jareau is pregnant. (The actress, A.J. Cook was really pregnant. The show comes at us with one heck of a mind bender. (One of the SUV’s, not the characters!) But that’s just my take....
