3"Did Anyone Remember To Feed The Giraffe Tonight?"

April 9, 1986

Giraffes are not typically pets, at least not in the real world.

Far Side grinning man (foreground, right) and a Liver & Onions truck (background, right.)

Regardless, the giraffe is much like any household pet to the people of the comic.

This pet just so happens to be very unique.

However, this is not so inThe Far Side, where rhinos are basically akin to a sweet dog.

The Far Side, a wide-eyed man grinning wildly (left) while a man with a mustache looks on concerned (right.)

The rhino even wags its tail like a dog does.

The driving dog being off the leash is the least of the issues the cop has with this situation.

Yet, the man in the car sees no issue with his pup driving whatsoever.

To be fair, the dog does seem like he is a natural behind the wheel.

A boy with his turtle about to jump through hoop on fire.

A house in shambles from a small bird.

Poodles plotting their owner’s murder.

Chicken revealing its disguise to human family.

Animal clawing the air out of people’s tire.

Dead goldfish in tank with live fish with older lady in background.

Dog about to be taken by ufo talking to lady.

A giraffe peering in window of two people.

Two rhino owners with one moving in.

Dog driving a car with his owner next to him pulled over by a cop.
