Although I mostly think ofMinecraftas a cozy game, these hostile mobs challenge that assumption every time I play.
What’s even scarier is thathitting them will do no damage.
Luckily, there is a trick to killing a Creaking.
Unlike the Creaking itself, the heart can take damage, and once destroyed the Creaking will die too.
Some of the Evoker’s spells can also pierce your armor.
This doesn’t just mean you, but also Villagers, Wandering Traders, and Iron Golems.
Entering the Nether for the first time, you’re not entirely sure what’s waiting for you.
Ghasts are also pretty scary because they can be difficult to take out.
While some of them might be close by, others could be firing at you from far away.
They can be found in the deep dark biome, and are spawned by Sculk Shriekers.
Wardens are so scary, I considered putting Sculk Shriekers on the list, simply because they create Wardens.
These mobs have 250 hearts each, and can hit you for 15 hearts in Normal mode.

The one good thing is that Wardens aren’t able to see.
This, mixed with the gravity of facing the game’s final boss, makes the encounter pretty intimidating.
Although fighting the Ender Dragon can be scary, beating it is also very rewarding.
Even on Easy, the Wither packs a punch that will likely put you down in one hit.
Unlike other enemies inMinecraft, you have to actively build the Wither to be able to face it.
If not, then you don’t have to worry about it.
