Firefly
Nathan Fillion isn’t as essential to aFireflysequel as some fans may think.
The series takes theFireflyfranchise into the future while mixing new characters into a new story supported by legacy acts.
With Reynolds largely absent from the series, it shows how theFireflyfranchise can confidently move on from Captain Mal.
Besides this small glimpse,Firefly’soriginal star never appears in ‘Verse.
It makes it all the easier for readers to accept a new star entering the lead chair.
It would be increasingly difficult for any production to venture to work around the schedule of its leading star.
