A Quiet Place Part II
A Quiet Place 2has officially started production.
The first film premiered in 2018, slipping somewhat under the radar before breaking out as a surprise hit.
With the monsters hunting by sound, the family are forced to live in silence.
Krasinski also starred in the film, alongside his real-life wife, Emily Blunt.
Their children were played by Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds.
In the wake ofA Quiet Place’s critical and commercial success, a sequel was rapidly greenlit.
It has been confirmed, however, that Jupe, Simmonds, and Blunt will all reprise their roles.
Unless, that is,he reprises his secondary roleas one of the monsters.
The former star ofThe Officewill, however, will pen the script andreturn as director.
They also reiterated the official 2020 release date.
It was previously reported that filming would begin in the summer.
And that some footage will be on the way, hopefully before the end of the year.
Krasinski also stars inTom Clancys Jack Ryan, which was recentlyrenewed for season 3by Amazon.
Blunt also recently finished filming with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on Disney’sJungle Cruise.
Neither are as busy as franchise newcomer Tyree Henry, however.
Sequels are notoriously tricky beasts.
Whatever the case, Krasinski previously assured thatA Quiet Place 2won’t be a typical sequel.
It will alsodiffer from such sequels asJawsandAlien.
