To get a macaque, you will have tofind the sumi-e painting spot for the Grooming Macaques.
These spots are not marked on the map either, so you have to come across it fairly naturally.
Once you do, head north of the two small islands until you reach the Kiyomizudera Pagoda Synchronization Point.
If the above are true, the sumi-e painting symbol should pop up as you pass by the spot.
it’s possible for you to then fast-travel back to the Hideout.
You will likely have a few cats and dogs here too.
There are some Legendary monkeys you could go find as well, but those will be harder to find.
