CBS was able to find an effective way to explain Hotch’s sudden departure from the BAU.
This gives Hotch the opportunity to return forParamount+sCriminal Mindsrevival.
Unfortunately, it likely won’t happen because of the behind-the-scenes drama.
Gibson’s exit fromCriminal Mindswas controversial; he was fired from the show after an on-set altercation.
From there, various set issues came to light.
Even whenCriminal Mindsrevisited old cases and featured flashbacks, Gibson was never returned for any of them.
Admittedly, it would be great to see Hotch back.
Given that, chances are that she will maintain that position inCriminal Mindsseason 16.
The on-set altercation that got Gibson fired fromCriminal Mindshappened with producer/screenwriter Virgil Williams.
While Gibson was directing an episode forCriminal Minds, he reportedly kicked Williams and was given a two-episode suspension.
I regret that it occurred.
