The police procedural is making a comeback just two years after its initial run on CBS ended.
But this time,Criminal Mindswill be taking a different form.
Firstly, it will be a streaming show on Paramount+.
Secondly, one season will be devoted to a solving single case instead of containing episodic storytelling.
Criminal Mindshad seven main characters when it debuted in 2005.
Over the years, the show went through several cast changes, leaving Gubler’s Reid and A.J.
Cook’s “JJ” Jareau as the only two original players remaining in the end.
Being alone with no support could lead him down a dark path resulting in him becoming a serial criminal.
There’s still a possibility that Matthew Gray Gubler eventually joinsCriminal Mindsseason 16, however.
The Paramount+ project is still in its early developmental stage with no set story or release date.
