Daredevil: Born Again
Warning!
In episode 7, we get confirmation thatWednesday’s Hunter Doohan is the actor behind the Muse mask.
That said, I disliked the idea of cutting the Muse story short.
Yes, I know Frank Castle is slated to return, but that sentiment still stands for the rest.
I had mixed reactions to how Muse’s story was handled in episode 7.
Doohan put up a magnetic performance in the role, making Bastion/Muse creepy with and without the mask.
I enjoyed how Heather was pulled into the action by Muse’s fascination with her.
I never expected that Heather would kill Muse.
The action was perfect.
After Charlie Cox’s cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and supporting role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Daredevil: Born Again gives Matt Murdock his first show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Daredevil: Born Again continues the story that started in Netflix’s three-season Daredevil series and sees Wilson Fisk ascend to mayor of New York City.
It felt like another case of the MCU killing a promising villain too soon.
I’m very much enjoying how the series shows us a different side of Kingpin.
I think the Anti-Vigilante Task Force claiming it took down Muse will strengthen Fisk’s position considerably.
Fisk and Vanessa’s relationship is complicated, but it is rooted in deep love and hurt feelings.
Daredevil: Born Againepisodes stream on Disney+ weekly every Tuesday.
