The Predator returns inPreywith an assortment of new and familiar weapons.
Throughout the expansion ofthePredatorfranchise, the central Predator hunters have continued to receive new weapons and upgrades.
There are always a few constants with the alien design and the weapons they use, though.
The iconic spine ripping is present as the alien goes from killing snakes to bears to humans.
Plenty of weapons are used by the Predator inPreyas its mission progresses.
Some will be familiar to those engrained in thePredatormovie franchise mythology.
Wristblades
The main Predator weapon inPreyis the creature’s iconic wristblades.
Disintegrator Gas
One of the new Predator weapons inPreyis a disintegrator gas.
It marks a significant difference betweenPreyand pastPredatormovies.
The retractable weapon can be split in two and is incredibly sharp on its ends.
Wire Net
Another somewhatfamiliar Predator weaponinPreyappears when a wire net is used.
The powerful weapon slowly grows tighter as it cuts through the victim’s body.
Cut Clamp/Dagger
The Predator also uses a cut clamp a few times inPreyas its weapon of choice.
This weapon can change shape, allowing them to wrap around objects or be thrown as a solid dagger.
The Predator uses them to escape a human-made metal foot trap and kill some of the French trappers.
Shield
Audiences also get to see the Predator weaponize a retractable shield inPrey.
As the fight continues from there, the Predator unleashes the shield in an offensive maneuver.
This shield couldconnectPreytoPredator 2and be the inspiration for the movie’s smart discs.

Laser Discs
One of the other Predator weapons inPreyare a few deployable laser discs.
The Predator takes his gauntlet off at one point and arms three discs to emerge from it.
This could be an early version of the self-destruct component of the gauntlets future versions of Predators have.
