Now, I think it’s obvious who the “others” to whom Sterns referred are.
Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth Avengers film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will bring together heroes, new and old, to face off against Victor von Doom - played by the returning Robert Downey Jr.. Avengers 5 will also mark the beginning of phase 6 of the MCU.
This would help to explain Robert Downey Jr.’s casting after portraying the character most synonymous with the MCU.
An alternative theory, of course, is thatSterns is referring to another group of more cut-and-dry heroes.
Nevertheless, the specific identity of this group of heroes remained a mystery until Marvel’s surprise announcement.
Now, I think it’s obvious who the “others” to whom Sterns referred are.
Then again, it’s worth thinking about how Doctor Doom fits into all of this.
