The main focus of the franchise has always been the flashy action and over-the-top heroes.

One of theMCUs biggest romance misseswas Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banners brief fling inAvengers: Age of Ultron.

However, I wouldve loved to see one of her comic relationships make it onto the big screen.

Black widow origin backstory compared to comics

He was experimented on and physically enhanced, becoming the super soldier that we know as the Winter Soldier.

The two developed a romantic relationship but ultimately got separated by the Red Room staff.

Black Widow changes Natasha Romanoff’s backstory in the MCU considerably from the comics.

Captain America from Avengers: Endgame, Scarlet Witch from WandaVision’s Halloween episode, and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine from Deadpool & Wolverine

Here are the similarities and differences explained.

If Bucky and Natashas romance was MCU canon, he wouldve already had a built-in dynamic with Yelena.

It also wouldve been one more thing that tied the new era of the MCU to the original Avengers.

However, I really hope that Marvel doesnt go in that direction.

For MCU fans who havent read the comics, they dont even know about the Bucky and Natasha romance.

At this point, its too late for the MCU to adapt this romance and thats okay.
