And I finally said yes because I was just so nervous about it.
But I’m really glad that I said yes.
She said,I loved being Cherry Blossom.
Reality TV is more popular than ever.
Candace also shared that her Cherry Blossom costume had a special significance to her.
She explained,They presented it to me, and I fell in love with it.
I shoot a lot of my movies there.
So the cherry blossoms are gorgeous and just always blooming.
And when they told me I would be Cherry Blossom, I was ecstatic.
Candace also loved the Cherry Blossom costume because it was easy for her to move around in it.
She pointed out thatit was a costume that was much like a real outfit.
It wasn’t cumbersome, and it was a beautiful dress [that looked] like a tree.
I was also nervous about that, just having the big mask on.
But having a costume that was more tailored and fitted was a comfort factor for me.
She said,Well, they give you a bunch of options.
And it was Carnival Week.
So I didn’t want to embarrass myself.
So I felt like this was a really fun pump it up song.
Just have a great time without being too challenging for me.
I felt like it hit in my sweet spot and I could perform it and not crash and burn.
The audience was then given clues to guess their identities.
Yeah, cause that is something that I’m not comfortable doing.
And so it made me feel more comfortable having that experience.
Candace also shared that her children were especially supportive of her as she joinedThe Masked Singer.
She was like, Mom, you’ve got the option to do this.
Like, you’re gonna be great.
Have so much fun.
And she would help me rehearse.
And it was a good time.
Well, they were both really challenging.
Candace continued,So, just being the first one off in my group was a little bit abrupt.
But this was like … Masked Singer was one and done for me.
And I was gonna sing an *NSYNC song.
And I love *NSYNC.
Like, you know, I’m a ’90s girl.
It was all ’90s-themed.
And he was my first crush.
And, you know, all of the things.
So it would have been super cute.
Jenny had guessed Jennie Garth, while Ken thought that she was Tina Fey.
Candace said,Jennie Garth was a good one.
I love that he guessed Tina Fey.
I’m like, ‘I’ll take Tina Fey.’
I thought that was great.
However, Candace pointed out that Ritas guess of Jessica Biel didnt match her height.
She said,I mean, she’s incredible.
But I look at, like, I know my height.
And they even pointed it out when I came out.
They’re like, Oh, she’s a little thing, cause I’m a shorty.
And, you know, Jessica Biel is a lot taller.
So even [with] that, there were some clues into thinking short people [laughs].
The actor passed away in 2022, and he’d competed onThe Masked Singerseason 4 as Squiggly Monster.
Bob and Candace played father and daughter Danny and D.J.
Tanner onFull Housefrom 1987-1995, and then reprised their roles in the sequelFuller Housefrom 2016-2020.
Candace reminisced about when she first realized that Bob was onThe Masked Singer.
She shared,I loved when I watched Bob on the show.
I didn’t even know.
I had turned it on randomly.
And that first note out of his mouth, I knew it was Bob.
And I started screaming.
And I called him right away.
I’m like, Are you on the Masked Singer right now?
And he was very diplomatic because of the contracts.
And he’s like, ‘I can’t tell you.
And I was like, I know you are.
I know you are!
The fact that you’re not saying it.
But I know your voice.
And I know that song.
You sing it all the time.
FromFull House, she choseJohn Stamos, who played her Uncle Jesse.
She said,I feel like everybody should go do it [laughs].
I think just because of the fact that I pushed myself to do it.
I’m like, Everyone should go do it!
But I’d love to see John Stamos on it.
He’s been on Broadway.
So I feel like he would be a really fun guess on there.
It would be so fun to watch.
It would still have to be minimal singing [laughs].
