After all this chaos,A MinecraftMovieis finally set for release on April 4.
Now, however, one video game executive addresses another ofA Minecraft Movie’s controversial elements.
This is not my Steve or your Steve this is Jack Blacks Steve.
This isnt Jack Black being someone else.
And maybe it is, becausethis is literally him interpreting this character and what it means to him.
He kept saying it: Can I talk about lapis lazuli in the movie?
As such, many online have voiced their concerns that Steve’s characterization would also come carrying these mannerisms.
But there’s more.
A Minecraft Movie follows four misfits transported through a portal into the Overworld, a cubic wonderland. They must navigate challenges and collaborate with expert crafter Steve on a quest to return home, confronting imaginative obstacles in this unique universe.
Then again, having such a definitive take on Steve could prove off-putting to longtime fans of the franchise.
