The Prime Video series has introduced a plethora of new characters since its debut in 2019.
One character is played by formerSupernaturalstarJensen Ackles, who portrayed Soldier Boy throughout season 3.
His presence in season 5 wasofficially confirmed in February.
Taking to Instagram,Padaleckinow provides a filming update onThe Boysseason 5.
The actor posts his view from an airplane, saying “Good to see you again, Toronto.”
The episodes began filming in November 2024, with the shoot slated to go through the middle of 2025.
Padalecki’s filming update is also indicative ofThe Boysprogress overall.
The Boys is a gritty and subversive take on the superhero genre, focusing on a group of vigilantes who confront powerful superheroes abusing their abilities, exploring themes of corruption and moral ambiguity in a world where heroes are not always what they seem.
