Game Of Thrones
Game of Thronescould have looked very different had George R.R.
Martin’s plans to begin with.
This would be epic, but not quite as expansive as it ended up becoming.
Martin wrote:
“Jon Snow, the bastard, will remain in the far north.
“It will lead to a bitter estrangement between Jon and Bran.
That alone is surprising enough.

That is, admittedly, more common and less taboo in Westeros.
However, there’s also a Tyrion piece to this, turning it into a truly wild love triangle.
Why Did GRRM Ditch The Jon, Arya & Tyrion Love Triangle?
Based on George R. R. Martin’s ongoing A Song of Ice and Fire novel series, Game of Thrones is a fantasy drama set in the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos. It follows noble families like the Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryen vying for control of the Iron Throne while a rising threat from the undead looms in the North. The series received significant critical success and amassed a loyal fan base due to its high production values, sprawling sets, iconic characters, and shocking twists.
Though he had a structure, he isn’t someone who plans everything out meticulously.
So even with this outline, nothing was set in stone.
But the closeness of Jon and Arya from Martin’s early ideas did carry through into the finished books.
It just worked out so much better, thankfully.
