But with that said, there are still numerousunanswered questions inMatlockseason 1.
Despite expectations, some of them still pertain to the Wellbrexa file.
That should greatly affect the second season of the show.
Olympia found this out while investigating the trust that Matty suspected would be related to Wellbrexa all along.

The oddest part of this reveal is that Julians a legitimately competent lawyer.
He knows that keeping that file around could be terrible for him.
As a result, hes officially left Jacobson Moore to strike out on his own.
Matlock is a modern reboot of the classic series created for CBS that sees the titular role taken up by Kathy Bates. After years retired from her career, Madeline Matlock rejoins the legal world in a powerful new firm where she uses her seasoned skills to win cases and expose the underlying corruption within the legal system.
Naturally, shell probably make a run at get a paternity test.
But the results of that test will raise further questions regardless of the result.
After Olympias promotion, Julian finally accepted that hell never get that approval and has elected to move on.
This means that Matty will be searching for her next clues without full information.
Although she has no objective reason to forgive what Julian did, she might still sympathize with his reasons.
There are plenty of other plotlines to explore in the next season as well.
The next season ofMatlockcould easily drop some new knowledge about the storyline.
At the very least, they wouldnt plan a second season unless Matty had an uphill battle ahead.
