Prey 2gets a new update from Amber Midthunder three years after the lastPredatormovie was released.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and released in 2022,Preymarks the fifth film in the long-running franchise.
This led toconfirmation of aPrey 2in early 2024.
In a recent interview withCollider, Midthunder is asked about the status ofPrey 2.
Midthunder also expresses enthusiasm about returning as Naru and working with Trachtenberg once more.

[Laughs] I genuinely don’t.
I also want to do another one.
I would be happy to do another one.
I love Dan Trachtenberg with my whole heart.
I’m really excited.
He obviously has Badlands coming out this year, so I’m really excited to see that.
Whatever Dan does, I will always be his fan.
Still, there’s reason to be optimistic aboutPrey 2eventually coming to fruition.
The studio, myself, the writer, and the producers about what crazy things could we do next.
And Ive never stopped, no one stopped thinking about how cool things could be going forward.
Trachtenberg has also proven himself a worthy shepherd of this franchise.
Though more concrete news onPrey 2may not emerge until afterBadlandsreleases, Midthunder evidently hasn’t given up hope.
