The firstQuarantinemovie was directed by John Erick Dowdle ofThe Poughkeepsie Tapesfame and released in 2008.

Just asRECgot a sequel withREC 2, the remake was followed byQuarantine 2: Terminalin 2011.

However, while the firstQuarantinestuck pretty close to the plot ofREC, the sequel deviated from its roots.

Currently, the likelihood of a second sequel isnt high heres why.

However, since the first sequels 2011 release there has been no talk of aQuarantine 3happening.

The secondRECsequel was followed by a third released in 2014.
