From 1978 to 1995, the franchise followed a single timeline, with five movies.

But then,the timeline got further complicated with remakes by Rob Zombiewhich completely rewrote the story.

But that’s not even including the Marvel Studios TV and animated shows.

Butdespite the connections, the studio ignored its spin-off, and both went down very different paths.

Then, seven years later, even larger strides were made withTerminator 2: Judgment Day.

Butunfortunately, the franchise couldn’t really agree on what should come nextafter that.

However, as of the latest two theatrical releases,the timeline is a total mess.

When Fox rebooted theX-Menfranchise in 2011, it seemed as though the original heroes may be lost to time.

However, there are other entries, liketheWolverine trilogy, which have a less solid standing in the timeline.
